Trial/Rental Policy

Vibrator Trial Units Policy

Occasionally, The Cleveland Vibrator Company cannot offer a performance guarantee on the suitability of its vibrators to a particular application. This may be due to the uniqueness of the application, uncontrollable variables, or severe operating conditions. In such cases, The Cleveland Vibrator Company may offer a unit to the customer for testing at the application site. The trial will be subject to the following conditions.

A )  Trial order must be covered with a customer purchase order.

B )  If control accessories are desired with the trial unit, they must be purchased outright.

C )  Customer is responsible for all freight charges to and from installation site.

D )  The length of the trial period is normally 30 days, including transportation time

E )  Should the trial unit prove to be unsatisfactory, it can be returned to CVC, freight prepaid. Credit will be issued subject to inspection of the equipment. Normal refurbishing and restocking charge is 20% of the full list price

Fabricated Equipment Trial Unit Policy

Should it not be practical to provide test samples to The Cleveland Vibrator Company for evaluation, CVC can provide equipment for rental/trial to the job site. It is not the intention of our trial policy to provide the specific piece of equipment required by the application, but to simply prove that the application can be successfully handled by our equipment. Consequently, the trial/rental unit may not be the exact size or configuration that is finally proposed. Trial/Rental equipment can be provided, subject to the following terms and conditions:

A )  Equipment will be provided subject to availability and prior commitment.

B )  Customer is responsible for all freight charges to and from installation site.

C )  No modification to the equipment may be made by the customer without prior written agreement from CVC and will be subject to additional charges for CVC to return the unit to its original condition.

D )  Should a customer require special modifications to be made by CVC to a standard trial unit (prior to sending out), charges will be made on a time and material basis. The modification charge will be added to the standard fee.

E )  Rental fees will be charged based on how long the unit is kept by the customer. Rental charges begin one week after the shipment leaves our plant, and conclude one week prior to receipt back at our plant to allow for transportation time.

First two weeks in customer’s plant:       -   $200.00 / week
Third and fourth weeks in customer’s plant:   -   $400.00 / week
Fifth and sixth weeks in customer’s plant:   -   $500.00 / week
After seven weeks:               -   Full Value of Equipment

F )  HyBrute Series Rental Fees

First two weeks in customer’s plant:       -   $250.00 / week
Third and fourth weeks in customer’s plant:   -   $500.00 / week
Fifth and sixth weeks in customer’s plant:   -   $600.00 / week
After seven weeks:               -   Full Value of Equipment

G )  Trial/Rental customer will provide CVC with a purchase order acknowledging agreement to all trial/rental terms and accepting responsibility for any and all damage done to the equipment.

H )  Should CVC be favored with an order for a piece of production equipment as a result of a trial/rental test, part or the entire rental fee may be refunded.

NOTE: We will begin invoicing at 30 days and subsequent 30-day intervals until the unit is returned.
