Electromagnetic Feeders can feed bulk material from micron size to bulky
chunks. The feeders are controlled by AC-type controls that operate with precision.
The basic simplicity of an electromagnetic feeder with a drive powered by
alternately opposing and attraction magnetic forces assures low maintenance. There
are no sliding or rotating parts. Power consumption is low and installation is easy. The
positive drive of these units provides stability, control and excellent accuracy. A
compact variable transformer-type control requires no rectifiers and
regulates the feeder speed by varying applied voltage. Control is
stepless from 0% - 100% of capacity, with excellent linearity. The
controls can be designed to operate one feeder or a group of
feeders from one station. Controls with solid state components are
also available.
Electromagnetic feeders can handle capacities from 1250 lbs.
per hour to 20 tons per hour.
